Project Overview: Over the summer, I carried out the methodology of my proposed project. This study tested whether removing the RhoB protein from human breast cancer cells would reduce invasion and metastasis. Using western blot and Boyden chamber assays, we found that cells lacking RhoB (siRhoB-treated) migrated significantly less than control cells, confirming RhoB’s role in cell invasion. These results suggest that targeting RhoB could help develop treatments to prevent breast cancer metastasis.
