Preference is made to proposals that address a need in professional learning. Only BTA can submit proposals.
Complete the proposal form above. Co-facilitators/Instructors must split compensated hours. If you have any

2. Get approval.
The Director will present your proposal at the following Policy Board meeting for consideration. The Director will
follow up after the PB meeting about next steps.
3. Plan.
Complete a course outline/syllabus to share with the Director for approval. Prepare any presentation materials and hand-outs. This work becomes property of BSDC and can be turn-keyed and/or used in future learning opportunities, but you can still use it for your own purposes in the future.
4. Facilitate your professional learning.
This can happen in various formats and places. While we prefer for learning to take place in the Bedford Staff
Development Center (FLMS West House), we understand the need for it to occur virtually or in an alternate space.
5. Get an evaluation.
Offer time in your session for participants to complete the evaluation on Frontline. This allows the BSDC to learn,
plan and grow. Let's build an even better professional learning opportunities together!
6. Submit attendance and materials.
Provide the Director with the attendance records, materials and time-sheet. (All of these items will be provided
to facilitators prior to the start of the professional learning.) The Director will ensure everything is processed
and follow up as needed.
