With the knowledge that A.I can be used in hastening the process for a wide amount of tasks, especially in the industry of art like through music and artwork, it can be easy for others to use this for their own reasons. These reasons may not always be good, which is why it is imperative that something is done to control or spread awareness on this.
F.O.R.G.E. advocates for reforms on correlated issues regarding copyright infringement in other Art and Music related industries. These issues include: laws and policies, ethical and social problems, and many more.
We students here at F.O.R.G.E., with our abilities and resources shall work to forge a world wherein all artists are safe from any and all malicious actions and maltreatment as it pertains to their creations, and for them to prosper mentally, physically, socially, and financially from the fruits of their creativity.
With this in mind, our objectives in fulfilling this are as follows:
To spread awareness within the ASHS community on the lack of proper policies and laws protecting artists and their intellectual property from copyright infringement.
To encourage people to be creative instead of passing off stolen or AI generated work as their own.
To uphold the integrity, originality and creativity of art and the art industry through sharing advocacy related art
To further promote and uphold SDG 8 (Decent work and Economic growth) within the art industry by promoting properly credited artwork related to our cause, and using these to further spread our advocacy’s message.
To show the exploitation of artists, and how we can support artists, especially local ones, even as ASHS students.
To achieve a unified consensus on the guidelines of the usage of A.I. generation, and the prosecution of those who irresponsibly use it.
