Eric Carlson

Associate Economist - Economic Innovation Group

Welcome!

Hi! My name is Eric Carlson and I am an Associate Economist at the Economic Innovation Group. I am a labor economist by training and I research issues related to economic geography. For example, my latest research explores how regional differences in remote work affect housing demand and household formation in local economies.

I  was previously an economics consultant for the UN International Trade Centre (ITC). Our latest work included analyzing data on the firm-level effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in emerging markets. (Click here for a working paper on international firms and COVID-19)
