Our plot of land, while restoring a former greyfield and benefiting our current environment, was once belonging to the forests of Pennsylvania. While taking up this piece of land with our communal, we must fulfill an ecosystem somewhere else! On our site, we wish to have certification of our donation/protection of land, either inscribed in our reclaimed wood, or in plaque form, showing off the reserve back within our outdoor spot.

We will donate money to the Nature Conservancy, which is a global non-profit environmental organization that works to conserve land by addressing biodiversity and climate change.

Their vision of, “a world where the diversity of life thrives, and people act to conserve nature for its own sake and its ability to fulfill our needs and enrich our lives.” is supported by our entire PBL class, and merges completely with our collective vision.
We hope our choosing of the Nature Conservancy reflects our individual and collective promise to promote positive environmental change, allowing for saving of civilization's only home.
