Editing

When editing a social post, I look to keep the captions concise and straightforward. I try to take out any unecesary words and make suggestions on keeping the caption clear. I also still make edits to any obvious grammar or spelling errors I see.

Being a copy staffer, each draft cycle I receive pieces to edit from my assigned period. Grammar and copy rules are often missed over, making it important for me to catch errors. This allows me to have more practice and to be able to sense a pattern of common mistakes, so I can inform the staff.
