Cubes
Cubes
For this project I used sketchup for schools. First for the cubes I locked them to the red axis which you can do by right-clicking the red line. Then I made all cubes starting at 5' by 5' then going up by five feet until I reached 20'. then I grouped them so I could stack them without them sticking to each other. After that I used the move tool to stack them and tried my best to eyeball it. After that I used the freehand tool to write my name.
Simple house
This is the unpainted sketchup house. I first started by making two rectangles and then erasing the line between them making an irregular shape. Then I pulled it up to the height I wanted to start making the house. After that I used the pen tool and when your hove above a line it will give you a guide on if you are parallel. Using this I the line for the roof of the house and then used the move tool. Then we used the offset tool and mad the house one foot smaller on each side. because of this the roof is sticking over the side. Then I could select one of the walls and use the move tool and tap control to pull over a copy. There I could make a window without messing up the house.
For the windows after I had duplicated it I made a frame for it using the circle polygon or rectangle tool. Then I offset it and then you can draw lines from the midpoints across to separate it in the desired amount of paines. Once I had done that I erased the initial four lines I drew creating the sash and paines. Then I pulled out the sash. After that I deleted the duplicated wall and then made it a component. then I moved it back to the original wall and had a nice-looking window.
After I had made the unpainted house I was able to make the painted one pretty easily because all you have to do is press "b" on your keyboard and then you can choose whichever colors or textures you want.
Then it was all ready to export so I used the file export collada which will give you the best results. Then I put it in to blender using the file import collada. Before that I deleted the cube and made the light power 1000W to give a good view of the house along as positioning it well. Then I put it into rendered mode, the last little square on the top right-hand corner. To get to the camera you have to press
My Sculpture
For this project I created a new sketchup file and selected the polygon tool, and set it to twelve sides. Then I orbited around so then when I created the other dodecahedron it would be perpendicular to the first. Then I clicked on either one of them, got the follow me tool, and clicked on the other. Then after that I used the offset tool and then did that for all of the sides. Then I pushed the top in and pulled the bottom out. For the middle I alternated between the two and used the move tool on the ones I pulled out to make them at a slant.
For the colored version of this model I chose four colors one for the spheres, and three other for the base model. Then I painted the model and was ready to export.
For These I locked the camera so then I could move around. wanted I pressed F12.
For this video I used the rotation and location to make it move and spin. Then For the glowing colors I went to emissions copied the hex number and then put that in the emission color and increased the light emitted to my content. For the sphere you can go to mesh and then sphere. Then for the sphere I colored it red and also made it spin and move a little bit.
To get to the emissions rotation and position all you have to do is click on the model, go to the beach ball looking icon and then you will be there.
