Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space.
Element - a pure substance with one type of atom. Compound - chemically bonded elements with two more atoms.
Heterogeneous - a mixture of substances that are not uniform. Homogeneous - a mixture that is uniform.
Acids/BasesĀ
Acids - taste sour, turn blue litmus paper red, electrolytes in water solutions, and has a PH less than 7. Bases - soupy/slippery to the tough, bitter in taste, turns red litmus paper blue, and PH more than 7. Neutrals - PH of exactly 7 (water is neutral)
Acid - Citric acid - PH of 3 to 6, blue litmus to red, and sour taste. Base - Ammonia - PH above 7
