My Memoir

My New Dogs Cinnamon and Waffles 

During the summer in July, It was my baby brother and my little sister’s birthday. On my brother's birthday we got a new dog.

 He was a baby and me and my siblings were happy because my other dog at home had someone to play with. When we were naming the puppy we were all fighting over the name, until my baby brother said he wanted to name him Waffles.

 We all liked the name and agreed to name him that. When we got home our dog Melo wasn’t really happy and kept barking at him and Waffles was scared of Melo, and it took him some time to get used to Waffles. When it was my sister’s birthday, we got another dog we really didn’t expect we would get another dog. And again we fought over the name, and my dad told us that her real name was Cinnamon, we really liked that name and we agreed to name her that.

 When we got home Waffles was a bit sad because he didn’t have his sister, but when we got home he was happier when he saw Cinnamon, because she was his sister. My siblings were playing with Cinnamon and Waffles while I was with Melo because no one was giving him attention so I decided to play with him.

We were really happy to get the new dogs, but it was a lot of work and I was a little annoyed because I would have to clean their mess after they ate because they would throw all the food on the ground or one of them would throw up after eating food and would try to eat the trash inside the trash can but my siblings and I wanted those puppies so we couldn’t really complain.

 Waffles and Cinnamon made me feel happy, not alone and comforted because I felt like they could feel how I was feeling when I’m happy or sad and they would stay with me when I was feeling sad or when I was feeling sick.
