This is my Perfect circles! We had to do many things even though it looks very simple. Some people had to restart their circles because they didn't make a perfect circle, and it HAS to be a PERFECT circle.
STEPS TO MAKING:
In Adobe Illustrate make a new file, click web and web-large to get the a nice size. Then click save to computer. Click window then workspace and click essentials classic. Make a line with the line tool and drag the lines to the outside corners to the center. Do that with the other corners too. Make sure that it's on a layer called The X. Make the stroke 16-20. Click the drop down at the top that says uniform and click the triangle looking one.
Make a new layer and call it Red Circle. Then look for the shape tool that looks like a square and hold it then click ellipse. Hold shift in the middle of the 4 lines and it will be a perfect circle. Make the stroke 15. (should be in the re circle layer) Make other layers called green circle, blue circle, and yellow circle. Select the circle in the red layer and click the 1st square at the top and make it red and change your 2nd one to none . Then go to the side on go to the 2 big squares on go under it to see a gradient box, click it. It should a gradient square and there should be 3 boxes with different gradient types. Click the one in the middle. Change the white circle to red and move the red circle to the black circle not to close but close enough. Do the same things to the other circles just make sure they match their layer name.
This is my emoji and it was super fun to create. It took a while but it was entertaining to watch it come together!
HOW TO MAKE BASIC EMOJI:
In Adobe Illustrate first make a circle by holding shift. Make it yellow and add a gradient with the gradient box. Make a new layer and call it head. Put the yellow circle in the layer. Make another circle and make it white. Put it in a new layer called sclera then added 2 more circles smaller than the sclera. 1 is the iris and 1 is the pupil. Put them in different layers. Make the sclera have a slight gradient (the shadow in my emoji's eye is not a gradient) Make the Iris a color of your liking.
Now make sure all of your eye parts are in one layer and call it L eye for left eye. Select your sclera and click object and transform. Click shear. Move the shear angle to your liking of the eye. Drag your L eye into the new layer button, it will make a copy. Click your copy of the L eye and click object than transform than reflect than drag it to the other side and name the layer R eye for right eye. Make a new layer called L eyebrow and draw a line to represent an eyebrow. Make the stroke bigger and change the stroke type to one of the ones you like. Click you eyebrow and click effect then click distort and transform and play with the ones to see if you like any of them. Make a new layer and name it mouth and make it bigger. Then click the button on top of the line tool and curve it in a way you like. You can make it thicker and then change the type of stroke to the one that starts thin gets bigger then thin again to make it look like its opening its mouth.
This is my emoji with a body!
It was fun to make the body and to animate it. It was fun to see how your cute little emoji would turn out.
STEPS TO MAKE
Make a new project in Adobe Illustrate with the emoji head. Then click insert and click your emoji head and drag it to make it the size you want. Delete the first head you made. Start making a body out of the tools your have. Make sure the body and head are on different layers. Once your done open this project on Adobe After Effects to start animating it. There should be a button at the top that will move the center of the body part click that and move it to the torso. Use the keyframes to move the body parts. Export it
This is Two Tummy Tim also known as my monster. The first photo is my original drawing that was made in ELAR. The second one is the monster I created in multimedia. We also got to animate it, but I'll talk about that later.
Steps to making:
You have to draw your monster and make sure to color it as well (you probably did or will do this in ELAR) Once its finally time to work on your monster in multimedia you will first have to edit you monster to get its colors nice and vibrant in adobe photoshop.
Crop it. click layer at the top and go to new adjustment layer click levels. at the side you will see this thing that looks like a graph. move the triangles under it to places that make your thing look good. Next you go on to abode illustrator and add your OG monster. Then make each box a color in your monster. (so like I made five boxes because I had five colors not including black and white.) once you did that make that layer name reference and make a new layer and start tracing your body WITH THE BLOB BRUSH and add details like inner glow and stroke. then export it
This is Two Tummy Tim... again, but this time he's animated. This isn't very high quality because its a GIF. Let me teach you how to do this.
Steps to making:
Open a project in adobe after affects . Go to composition then click composition settings. Then click the preset and make sure its the 3rd one down and make sure its 30 seconds. go to file then click import then import your monster.
