Violet Pinthong - 3D Models

In our 3D models page we will make things in Blender and Sketchup. Both Blender and Sketchup are amazing sites that you should check out. If you like 3D printing then you should check out Sketchup. You can click the underlined Sketchup to learn more about it. Blender has amazing stuff too though we didn't do much with it but you can do many cool things with it. If your interested you can click the underlined Blender to find more about it. I will try to explain what we did and how we did these things.

SketchUp house

This is the house I made in SketchUp!! We made the house shape, the roof, and the trim at the top and bottom before we did any coloring. Before we added colors we did windows and I made the 8 pain window by myself! I also added a chimney. After all that we finally colored it.

Blender house

After we made the SketchUp house we imported it into Blender. Blender gave it lots of shadows and made it look even more realistic. Though, sadly some colors die down when you import it into blender so be aware of that!

Wanna See All of my House?

This is the same Blender house you were reading about, but this time you can see all of it! This house is just keyframed to spin around. It was pretty easy unlike keyframing our modern art. (We will get to that soon.) Really all you got to do is add keyframes at certain spots and turn you house and it will spin!

Modern art SketchUp

This is my modern art! I thought it would be cool to have lots of details but sadly I did not have time to do every face with lots of details. (and honestly it would probably look bad with to many details.) We justs used the polygon tool and put in a number into the box in the corner and it would make a shape with that many sides. Then we just made lines and pulled them up with the push pull tool.

Modern art Blender

This is also my modern art, but in blender! I added even more details like reflections and glowing parts. It was quite easy to add them. You just had to change your render engine to cycles and change the materials, how rough it looks, and how glossy it looked.

Modern art video!

This video was made before I added the pretty glowing and reflections, so it looks pretty dull. BUT the keyframing was hard! The spinning of the model was easy but the movement of the camera was kinda hard like I talked about in the house section. Its cause the model shouldn't go out of the camera so when it did you had to add another keyframe, but if you added to many keyframes it would look choppy.
