I started out htis unit with making a cube stack to get into the hang of things.
I started out htis unit with making a cube stack to get into the hang of things.
After making this boring stack, I made a house using many different methods. I made two different houses, one that's just the house, and the other which is the house with a porch and bench.
I also and ended up painting both the house with two slightly different color schemes. I painted them both blue because its my favorite color
I decided to repaint them with higher rez. colors for better detail. I also added a bench to the modded house.
The only video I ever made of my simple house was this test video. I just didn't have enough time to make two videos.
After I finished the houses in Sketchup, I imported them into Blender.
After finishing a video of my houses, i started on my 3D models.
I first started of with one model but I had extra time and made 2 more.
I have made these three models so far and I plan to paint at least two for importing to Blender. Out of these three (in order from first to third) the first and second ones are my favorite, so I am most likely going to paint those two. These images of them are also transparent. (IMAGES ARE NOT TO SCALE)
I planned to color the second and third models, but i suddenly couldn't find the third model in SketchUp :(. It was a really nice model and I was upset when i could never find it. However I did still have my second model (my favorite) and it turned out to be the only one I needed.
I painted the model in SketchUp and it looks even better! I will import it to Blender through a special process.
First you click the three bars in the top left corner. then you click export and export as a Colada file.
Then after that you click export
After that, you then to step one again but you click Status Dashboard instead of Colada.
The last step for the SketchUp process you need to either wait for sometime or if your screen looks like the pic below your ready to download.
After all that, its time to open up Blender.
After all this, you should see your model in the blank area.
After you open Blender all you have to do is click File --> Import --> Collada Legacy and you should see a screen like this. When you get to this screen you Just need to click downloads, your file, and then Import COLLADA.
I started working on my model in Blender and decided to give it some nice glow around in different spots and in the "stand" that is holding up all the tall triangle pillars. After some time, I thought it would be cool to add a mirror texture on the "stand" because it could reflect the other smaller pentagonal pillars.
My first plan was to animate it and import the Video Render to Adobe Premiere Pro, however it took a few tries to get it right. The first time I just rendered it on black on my teachers computer, however when i tried to remove the black background, it took away some of the model. So after that he rendered it again but instead gave it a pink background to delete it without deleting the model. However the Model was a MKV and not a MP4 so I couldn't import it to Premiere. Fun Fact, MKV was one of the very first video formats ever made and was developed in Russia in 2002!
After those few failed attempts, he changed to a MP4 and changed it to have less noise (little dots all over the model) and it turned out amazing!
This is a picture of the model below with the denoise and as you can see, it looks amazing when compared to it without the denoise.
After all of that work from SketchUp, to Blender, and now Adobe Premiere. I have now finished My Final Video. Its in pink so that i could edit it in Premiere easily.
