Hi! Welcome to my 3D Models page. This is where you can see different models we made in Sketchup and Blender.
Above, you can see a photo of cubes that we made to practice our skills in Sketchup. We started with 2D squares that we sized, then push/pulled from the ground. Then, we stacked them on top of each other and drew our name with the Freestyle tool.
Above, you can see an unpainted version of my house model we made in Sketchup. The base of the house is the same as everyone else's because we had to make it that way, but I added a doorknob, chimney, and circular window for extra.
This is the last Sketchup picture for my house model. It is fully colored and textured the way I like. I tried to do kind of a "cozy cabin feel," and I think I did it pretty well. We weren't allowed to use white though, and I wanted to do that for the wood in the windows, but I think it still looks good.
Now, we imported it into Blender. It added shadows, and got rid of the black outline. I also had to get rid of the doorknob because it wasn't loading in properly. I positioned the camera to get a good angle of the house, and saved it.
Then, we keyframed our houses to spin and made it into an animation. This is the 10 second house video that I exported from it! It spins left once, then right, and goes back to how it was in the beginning so that if you loop it. it'll spin FOREVER.Â
This is the first 3D model I made in Sketchup. I made a nonagon, then I added a design with LINES. After the LINES, I push/pulled them from the 2D shape, and made the shape you see above. Then, I made a copy of this model in a different Sketchup thing, and renamed it with a PAINTED at the front. I painted the model, then took the photos that you see above.
Next, we imported the models into Blender just like the house. Again, this adds shading, and gets rid of the thin black outline. It also made the colors a little lighter, but I think I like it better this way.
