Design 

This spread I designed in November of 2025, and I am really impressed with my design! I worked hard on creating a Thanksgiving food chart, getting interviews and focusing on covering people who haven't been in the yearbook yet. I also really enjoyed messing with fonts, and feathering out the color and creating drop shadow. I also am a big lover of quirky headlines, especially connecting to our "Mapping our Journey" theme this year. 

This was another creative, "week-by-week" spread I created my junior year. I was really inspired by the community service that the whole school was invested in at the time and wanted to capture that wholly. I also enjoyed creating the graphic of the "pop tabs," I used Adobe Illustrator to make the jar and tabs, capturing how many they gathered. I also had fun capturing the "LEGACY in Color" theme.  This theme came from a new advisory program called LEGACY.  The advisory class dedicated to "LEGACY" meets every Thursday and Friday. I wanted to incorporate that into the headline. 

I made this spread my sophomore year, I was really having fun playing with fonts, drop shadow and also alternate coverage in the form of a polaroid type photo, given our theme this year was "Capture This." I liked this alternate coverage because it encompassed a pretty normal, class day during the PSAT test, but seniors don't have to take that test so they just got to hang out, we captured this mundane day which I think is also important, sometiems the less eventful moments are most meaningful. 

I made this golf spread my sophomore year. I've been on the team since my freshman year so its been fun to design the spreads throughout my high school career. Notice the polaroids of the individual golfers mid swing, I also liked the green and pink, more summer colors that I think encompass what the golf season is like. 

This spread was a fun one. Designing the chart for the swim meet, capturing book club moments and most proudly National Law Enforcement Day, which I really enjoyed creating. Getting to sit down and talk to Officer Rohlfer (our school resource officer) was very enlightening and just plain out cool. He was willing, positive and passionate about his job. Its important to encompass the dedicated adults just as much as the students!

Here's an example of a "club spread" I created from the "LEGACY in Color" yearbook my junior year. I do at least one every year, they usually go along the same layout year-to-year, with the club picture,  kids names, and sometimes a brief at the bottom, in this case explaining what the club does and is about.
