My blue house that I made in Mrs. Choi's wonderful 3-D Printing class.
This is my first project, which is a house. It is a blue l-shaped house, has 4 windows, and a garage.
Your house must have
1. With the RECTANGLE tool, draw a 12'x30' rectangle.
2. Add 20'x10'
3. Erase the separating edge with an ERASER tool
4. with PUSH/PULL tool, pulling it up 10'
5. Creating a 5' roof
6. Creating a chimney
7. Creating a 6" roof overhang to use the OFFSET tool
8. At least one door and three windows with frames
9. Select the FOLLOW ME tool and trim the bottom surface
10. Add more details like
Garage
Doorsteps
Skylight
Corner post
Porch
This is the finished result. I used blue filament for the base, and yellow filament for the frame and 3D text. It is a 3" by 1", pill-shaped, keychain.
Here are the steps to making the key chain in SketchUp.
Make a rectangle with the measurements 2", 1"
Add a semicircle using the arch tool with the measurements 1/2" on both sides.
Pull up all three sides to 1/8" on the blue axis line.
Use the tape measurer tool to draw a reference line. (1/2", 1/4")
Draw a 1/8" circle on the intersection point.
Push the circle down 1/8" to make a hole.
Make a frame with the offset tool, pull it inward 1/16".
Raise the outer frame up 1/16 inches.
Make 3-D Text in the middle. (Height = 3/4", extrusion = 1/16")
This is the finished result of my heart-shaped cookie cutter. I used yellow filament for the color. It is 110 millimeters (About 4.5 inches) long and 130 millimeters (About 3 inches) wide.
