In child services we have gone to 2 different elementary schools. Booker T. Washington and STEAM RISE academy. Some things I learned and observed at Booker T. Washington were when we were visiting preschoolers there were about 12 of them. The preschoolers were really getting to know each other and learning how to interact with other humans. Also the teachers kept the kids in small groups with toys/ students so that they were occupied but also to get what she was doing complete.
On Monday November 4th we had a 2 year old named Lina and she was so sweet, she was very shy, and timid. I had to be very patient with her because of her shyness, it was difficult at first but she started to brighten and lighten up, I got to read a book with her and got to interact more with her which was very fun.
On November 19th my child services class took a trip over to Booker T Elementary and we got to play with them outside on their playground. I got to communicate with the kids one on one in 3 different groups and help them with what they needed help with. Overall it was another good experience.
