Davis Ashmun - President

Davis Ashmun is a sophomore in Lafayette's Pre-Engineering program. Davis plays soccer for Lafayette and for LSC. He has a passion to give 110% of his efforts in everything he does; he believes it is the best way to improve. This mindset is what fuels his desires and goals. He wanted to start this club to leave a mark on Lafayette and be a trailblazer in his community. 

Madden Mehrizi - VP

Madden Mehrizi is a sophomore at Lafayette High School. Madden is in the Pre-Engineering program and plays lacrosse for Lafayette. Madden is hard-working and wants to strive high in engineering. He wants to make energy and vehicles more efficient and renewable and believes that the Generals Racing Club is a good place to learn and grow.

Frank Gooding -                            CFO / Business Lead

Frank Gooding is a sophomore at Lafayette High School. He is in the Pre-Engineering program. Frank plays soccer for Lafayette, and is considered a good team leader by his friends. He is easily outgoing, and handles most of the marketing and fundraising affairs in the club.

Gabriel "Gabe" Mullins - COO

Gabriel "Gabe" Mullins is a sophomore at Lafayette High School and is in the Pre-Engineering program. Gabriel also Is in TSA and STLP, and has Lifeguarded at 3 different pools across Lexington [ Douglass, Tate's Creek, Castewood ].  Gabriel aspires to be a mechanical/electrical engineer in the future.

Luke "Luca" Wilkinson - Head Engineer

Luke is a junior at Lafayette High School. He is in the Pre-Engineering program, and is also an Eagle Scout. He also plays ice hockey for the Lexington Thoroughbreds and plays Lacrosse for Lafayette. Luke is interested in studying mechanical engineering in the future.

Advisors

Mr. Hackman - Staff Advisor

Mr. Hackman has over 20 years of experience in a variety of roles including Navy Nuclear Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Senior Management roles within Amazon Operations.

Starting in 2022, Mr. Hackman transitioned from Industry to Education, and has taught Engineering, Robotics, and Marketing courses to more than 500 students (and counting!) at Lafayette High School.
