This was a little cheese factory we went to. They talked about the process of making the different cheeses and they talked a little about their background. They also had a small shop, where you could buy their product. It wasn't all cheese, they make fudge too, which they also sell in their shop. We taste tested everything, and all of it tasted amazing. I ended up purchasing some chocolate peanut-butter fudge, and it was really good too.
Midway was one of the colleges we went to. I'm not gonna lie, it didn't make that much of a impression, because i don't remember much about it. What i do remember is the campus and it was really pretty. It looked like it had been there for a while which give it a good feeling.
This was a sort of field day, but inside. We did it to celebrate inclusion by participating in activities together. There was games, movies and art stuff to do. There was something for everyone. We also had a taco truck where we could get food. It was a good time.
We went to this park to clean up all the trash in the water and along the water line. we also had to document every piece of trash we pulled out, even the brand name. In this trip i was the official photographer. I got shots of people in the water digging for trash and different people collaborating on the documenting process. I pulled a couple things out, including a couple shopping carts along with the help of my friend Aaron. Alera was the one taking the pictures of us pulling it out of the water. I really liked this trip, not only because we are helping the ecosystem around that area, is was also just a fun time i had with my friends. I would love to do something similar in the future.
(I don't recall what this trip is and i don't have access to the pictures)
Morehead State university's steel drum band came to our school and performed. Honestly i loved it. I loved the personalities of all the players and they sounded amazing. They were also interacting with us and connecting. They were just a nice and talented group of people.
This is a huge garden. (Forgot exactly what its called) They keep fish in these big tanks and with the system they use, it keeps the fish's water clean and the plants thriving. They have a big one and a couple little ones along the edges of the room. It was interesting seeing the process on a large scale. The water conservation of this system is unbelievable. This system could help out a lot when it comes to preserving resources. We also ate at the Smithtown Seafood place after.
We went out in the rain and dug up rocks so the organization we were working with could pant things there for the butterfly's that are migrating through Lexington. We all worked to help the woman in charge and overall it was a fun time although we did get rained on.
