This term:

This term we will begin with an Inquiry project based on a Moment in Time that interests them. As part of this, they will be collating all of their learning from this year for Writing, and choosing a genre/format that they would like to present their historical moment in. This could be:

• A newspaper report

• An 'I survived' style narrative

• A diary entry

• An essay demonstrating cause and effect

•  A recount, as though they were present for their moment

Students will be provided with a Success Criteria and support from the teacher, and using the research they are completing for their Inquiry to contribute to their piece of writing.

Writing progressions for your child can be found on Hero.

All students will have a range of progressions based on their individual needs. Progressions will be 'live', being assigned and marked off as they are taught by your child's teacher. Please check your child's Hero to view these as they become available.
