Progression Focus
This term we will focus on Spelling.
Week 1
Everyone will complete an Essential Spelling Test in Google Forms to assess which progression goal to focus on this term.
After the test, your Teacher will give you a list of the words you are not sure how to spell to glue into your literacy book.
Weeks 2 - 4
We will have two spelling sessions each week. In each session you will need to complete the tasks listed below that are specific to your progression goal.

above tasks, use the Weekly Spelling Choice Board to practice spelling unknown words from your essential spelling list. You can find a list of your unknown words in your literacy book.
You will be tested each week by your spelling buddy during an SSR session.
Year 7 & 8 Progression Goals

Once you have finished the above tasks, use the Weekly Spelling Choice Board to practice spelling unknown words from your essential spelling list. You can find a list of your unknown words in your literacy book.

Once you have learnt all your unknown words from your essential spelling list you can choose words from the Spelling Bee Words to learn.
Year 9
Progression Goals
You will get 5 new spelling words each week which you can find here. Look up the definition and in your literacy book write it in your own words, then write the word in a sentence.

Once you have finished the above tasks, practice the Spelling Bee Words using the Weekly Spelling Choice Board.
