During Term 2 we will be learning about astronauts and space navigation.

We will be learning about:

• Famous astronauts in history.

• Writing biographies about our favourite astronauts through integration with the writing curriculum.

• What life looks like for astronauts travelling in space.

• Constellations and Matariki.

• NZ histories/ Māori Pūrākau.

This term we will be receiving a visit from The House of Science where your children will experience a 'space VR' session. We will also be engaging in a variety of science challenges and projects to enhance their learning experience, including planning a design for a Mars rover
