Term outline
Week 1 - 2: Punctuation and Sentences
Week 3 - 6: Writing for different purposes e.g. formal letters, CVs
Week 7 -9: Creative writing
Writing topics
This term we will start off by exploring more complex punctuation such as speech marks, colons/semi-colons and types of complex sentences.
We will then move on to writing for different purposes and audiences e.g. formal letter writing and CVs.
We will also continue to do quick-writes and writing activities on topics on the student's choosing.
Your child will have a selection of the below progressions, depending on where they are at in their learning:
