Dear Second Grade Families,

Here is what is planned for next week.

Math- Chapter 1 is all about arrays and repeated addition. The test is scheduled for Friday, September 21.

Reading- The reading story is titled Families Working Together. They will need to be able to read and know the meaning of the following words for the test- check, choose, chores, cost, customers, jobs, spend, and tools.

Spelling- The spelling unit is all about consonant blends.  The test is scheduled for Friday September 25.

Religion- Chapter two is titled, Baptism.  Our focus will be the Sacrament of Baptism and original sin. We are just about to complete this chapter, and the test is scheduled for Thursday, September 24.

Grammar- We will be reviewing adjectives and  introducing adverbs.

Science (Taught by Ms. Trinity)- For the next two weeks they will continue learning about the states of matter.

Social Studies (Taught by Ms. Trinity)- Their next topic in social studies will be wants and needs.
