๐ LAT Rugby Competition Champions! ๐๐
On Monday, Strood Academy hosted the LAT Year 9 Rugby Competition, with 17 schools competing across both tag and contact events. Our team entered the Tag Event and dominated the group stage, winning 6 out of 7 matches and finishing 1st place!
After falling behind early in a thrilling final vs Longfield, the boys fought back with Garvyn equalizing. With the game tied at full time, it went to golden point. A heroic defensive play by Harley saw him steal the ball and make a huge run before being tagged. Eddie then kicked long to the corner, where Preston made an unbelievable catch and touched down to secure the victory! ๐๐ฅ

UK Biology Olympiad
During M3, the Year 13 students took part in the UK Biology Olympiad. Daisy earned a Silver Award, placing her in the top 15%, while Emmanuel achieved a Bronze Award, ranking him in the top 25% among the 18,500 students from 1,053 schools across the UK who participated. Congratulations to both Daisy and Emmanuel on this outstanding achievement!
