Throughout the Easter half term, we will be offering a range of intervention sessions for Year 11 and Sixth Form students. The timetable for these can be seen here.
Interventions offer an opportunity for students to receive additional support and individualised attention in areas where they may be struggling. This can be crucial in the lead up to exams, where even the smallest improvements in understanding can make a big difference to final grades.
Each session is 2 hours long - AM: 10.00 - 12.00, PM: 12.30 - 14.30
We encourage you to book your students on to the relevant intervention sessions, in order for our staff to plan and prepare for these sessions appropriately. Please use the link here to make your bookings.
We look forward to seeing many of you there.
“Everything is important - success is in the detail”
Due to the HUGE success and outstanding conduct by the year 11 students we have decided to continue our privilege cards. Year 11 students will continue to be allowed to enter and exit the site every day, queue jump in the restaurant and have their own exclusive year 11 space at lunch time. Students will need to show their cards to gain these privileges and on the final day of term if they are signed and 100% attendance has been achieved they will exchange the card for a treat! In addition to this, we will be doing a prize draw every morning where 3 students (1 per college) will win a £5 voucher. Students will gain entry into the draw by: being present at school the day before, they will gain an additional entry into the draw if they attend intervention the day before, and finally they gain an entry into the draw for every reward point they achieve in lessons the day before. We look forward to celebrating their success every morning at line ups.
Attached is the KS5 dress code for your information, as well as Expectations which have been shared with year 12 and 13 students
Early Finish Fridays: any 6th form students who achieve 100% attendance for the week have the opportunity of leaving during lunchtimes on Friday. Ms Stubbs will be liaising with eligible students. Please refer to the letter shared this week for further information on this.
Years 12 and 13 have subject-specific study periods built into their timetables, roomed into the study area. This area is now being supervised as a quiet study area to enable students to continue with their set subject work. We hope students find this useful.
