A note from the attendance team: Please ensure you are contacting the Academy via email or text message to alert us if your child is going to be late or will not be attending the Academy that day. Also, please ensure you are advising the attendance team of any appointments your child may have so we can ensure students are in reception at the correct time, ready to be collected. Reminder about arrival to the academy: Strood Academy is open from 8am each morning where students are able to come and prepare for the day ahead in our Restaurant. Please ensure students are not entering the building before 8am each morning.
Year 11
“Everything is important - success is in the detail”
Overall attendance this week was 91.6%. While this is heading in the right direction, we expect 100% attendance from all students to ensure the best opportunities for all to succeed.

Please note: Intervention will be cancelled on Thursday 5th October to allow students to attend the Sixth Form Open Evening which will commence at 4pm.
Year 11 interventions started Monday, 11th September. The schedule for intervention is below.
SIXTH FORM
Attached is the KS5 dress code for your information.
Year 13 students have started their UCAS applications and personal statements. Year 13 students to liaise with teachers regarding subject references.
A reminder that all KS5 are expected to be in school all day. Students are allowed to sign out at lunchtime if they wish to go to the local shop.
