International Women's Day STEM Event
Our Year 9 & 10 students had a fantastic time participating in a STEM event to celebrate International Women's Day in Engineering! The event was an inspiring opportunity for our students to see women engineers in action and explore exciting careers in STEM
A huge thank you to the University of Greenwich for hosting such a meaningful event and giving our students the chance to learn, connect, and be inspired by real role models in engineering. 🚀💡
Year 7 Forensics
🕵️♂️ Our Year 7s kicked off their forensics project today by uncovering their own fingerprint patterns! 🔍 The room was buzzing with curiosity, excitement, and some brilliant detective questions. A fantastic start to our science sleuthing journey!

A huge congratulations to our Strood Academy Fortnite team who faced The Leigh UTC on 24th June and came away with an outstanding clean sweep - winning 7 out of 7 rounds across all three games played!
Well done to our unstoppable Fortnite team: Finlay, George, Aiden, Kaizen and Archie, who showcased incredible teamwork, strategy and skill.

Spanish Exchange
What an incredible week! We were delighted to host a Spanish exchange at our academy throughout which our students had the chance to connect, learn, and grow alongside their Spanish buddies — showing true kindness from start to finish.
To celebrate the experience, we ended with a special assembly full of smiles, stories, and shared memories. 🇪🇸♥️

🎉 On Friday, while students were on inset day, we shared our fourth Strood Stars of the module! 🌟 We can’t wait to celebrate with students when they return to the academy next week.
A huge congratulations to all our award winners for their outstanding achievements — and a special shoutout to our Year 8 Netball Team, who dominated the LAT tournament, winning 6 out of 7 games and taking the trophy home with a 1-0 final victory! 🏆👏
