Tourette Syndrome Awareness Month is observed annually from May 15th to June 15th. This month is dedicated to raising awareness about Tourette Syndrome (TS) and dispelling common myths and misconceptions surrounding the condition. The primary goal is to promote understanding and acceptance of people living with TS, and to highlight the challenges they may face.
Tourette syndrome remains one of the most misunderstood neurological conditions, public perceptions are often shaped by stigma, jokes, and misinformation. This year’s theme is #Misunderstood.
For more information about TS visit https://www.tourettes-action.org.uk/
If you have concerns about TS in your family, please contact your GP or the school SEND team for more information and support.
