Eben's Ju-Jitsu Success
Last Friday during morning lineups, we also took a moment to celebrate Eben for his outstanding behind-the-scenes success in Ju-Jitsu. 🥋 His tireless dedication and countless medals haven’t gone unnoticed, and we couldn’t be prouder! He even gave Mr. Minshull a quick lesson in stances so they were photo-ready! 💪📸
Year 7 Rugby
Our Year 7 Tag-Rugby team were on fire last Thursday’s at the LAT tournament at The Hundred of Hoo Academy! 🔥 After storming the group stage with 6 wins and 1 draw, the boys secured a spot in the final, where they put on a valiant display against The Maths School, finishing runners-up with a 3–1 result. 🏉👏
An incredible effort from a team who’ve never played rugby before—true talent in the making! 💪 A special shoutout to Michael, our Player of the Tournament, for his unmatched speed and aggression on the pitch! 🏆
Esme's Nuclear Race
💥 On Sunday 11th May, Esme (Year 8) absolutely smashed the Nuclear Races in Essex! 💪 She tackled the 7km adult course with 50 epic obstacles – including a 20ft death slide, zip wire splashdown, and even the dreaded travelator 🧗♀️💦 All in around 2.5 hours, showing true grit, determination, and teamwork by helping others along the way! 🌟🔥

🏀 Crusaders Basketball Success!
On Saturday, four of our talented students—Ned, Billy, Sophie, and Tristan—attended their Presentation Night for Crusaders Basketball. A huge well done to all of them for their amazing achievements this season! 👏

🏉 Huge shoutout to our Year 8 boys who battled hard at the LAT Rugby Event on Friday, securing a strong 4th place finish in their group! 💪 With no players competing outside of school, they showed incredible resilience and spirit against experienced teams. Well done to all! 👏🔥
Daisie's Rugby Success
🏉 Huge congratulations to Daisie in Year 10, who has captained a combined rugby team made up of players from Old Gravesendians, Sheppey and Canterbury this season! 👏 On Saturday, she was recognised for her outstanding leadership and collaboration by winning the Teamwork Award at the Youth Awards – a well-deserved achievement! 🌟💪
Year 8 Rock Investigation
Our budding year 8 Geographers have been rocking their investigation skills this week! 👩🔬👨🔬
They investigated rock permeability by testing how quickly water soaks into different rock samples. From chalk to slate, our students observed and recorded how permeable each rock was – all in the name of Geography!
Who knew dropping water on rocks could be so revealing?
The Charlton Athletic Community Trust
Over the last three weeks Year 10 Sport students have had the opportunity to learn more about the sports industry thanks to The Charlton Athletic Community Trust. 🙌🎓Coaches came in to provide the students with a range of theory and practical tasks including coaching, sports journalism and sports finance. We look forward to taking these students to Dartford FC next month for a Charlton Athletic Community Day!🚌🎉 Well done boys you have done the PE Team proud! 💪👏🔥
