Director of Equity and Excellence: Ms. Denise Williams
Denise Williams currently serves as Director Point for District 7 and is the Instructional Lead for Equity and Excellence at the Bronx Borough Office. She served as the Principal of Pelham Gardens MS for 7 years where she led the charge to develop the racial equity lens of teachers in order to create more culturally responsive environments. In this new role she oversees, organizes and supports borough-wide equity initiatives aimed at reducing disproportionate outcomes for Black and Brown students. Additionally, Denise works with borough and district level leaders to develop their socio-political lens through engaging in conversations about race, power, and privilege.
