Counseling
Counseling at St. Rita Catholic School emphasizes the importance of social, emotional, and behavioral functioning as well as academics. The counselors provide support to students directly, through individual and group counseling, as well as leading whole-class guidance lessons in the classroom setting. Counselors indirectly support students through consultation with parents and other staff.
Any student may request to see a counselor by asking their teacher or scheduling an appointment. Parents and teachers may refer a student for counseling by contacting the counselors via email or phone.
Counselors work with parents and teachers to develop treatment plans for students who benefit from regular, ongoing counseling support. Counselors and administrators may recommend outside, professional support for students if needs arise beyond what is reasonable within the school environment. School Counselors are only available during school hours. If you experience an emergency outside of school hours, please call 911.
