Those of you from New Orleans may understand that Mardi Gras is truly a year round experience!  The Streetcar Strutters are looking for ladies that love to dance, love to give back, and love the Big Easy!

FAQ ~

• Who may join the Streetcar Strutters? Women age 27 or older by April 1st of the year of application may join. 

• What are members required to do?  Parade, practice, volunteer, dress the part, and pay your dues!  We volunteer throughout the year ~2 philanthropy events minimum per Strutter, though all are encouraged to participate as often as your schedule permits!  We require practices - 3 times a month in the "off season" and weekly starting in November before Mardi Gras.  We parade - throughout the year,  in the 2024-2025 season we participated in Southern Decadence,  Krewe of Boo, Mad Hatters, Krewe of Tucks, Krewe of Thoth, Krewe of Morpheus and Mystic Krewe of Barkus .  Of course we need to keep things grooving with things like insurance, website, speakers, and the like,  so dues make the wheels go round and keeps the music coming!

• When is the Strutter Year?  April 1- March 31

• Who is in charge?  Where this is 100% a group effort, we do have a Board of Directors and Committee Board Members.  Check us out on the About page

• What do the Dues cover?  As mentioned above, we are insured, have a fantastic trailer,  exciting music, cool website, have social events, in addition to some indoor practices and other things that keep us grooving throughout the year!
