At Strate, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all students.
In accordance with French Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005, which ensures equal rights and opportunities, participation, and citizenship for individuals with disabilities, we support students who meet the law’s definition of disability. This includes any limitation of activity or restriction in societal participation caused by a significant, lasting, or permanent impairment of physical, sensory, mental, cognitive functions, multiple disabilities, or a disabling health condition.
Supporting Students with Disabilities
Students who qualify under this definition are required to provide relevant medical and administrative documentation. Once submitted, they may be eligible for personalized support and an academic accommodation plan. This plan could include adjustments to their studies and/or assessments, coordinated through our Disability Correspondent at viescolaire@strate.design.
The Disability Support Plan, completed by the student and reviewed by our Disability Correspondent and educational directors, ensures that all necessary educational accommodations are considered. These accommodations are reassessed annually, with a simplified renewal process available for situations that remain unchanged.
Please complete this form in French (an English translation is provided here for your convenience) and submit it directly to viescolaire@strate.design to apply for the Disability Support Plan.
Temporary Health Conditions
For students with temporary health issues or those who do not meet the criteria for disability, the school can arrange accommodations based on available resources (e.g., staff, equipment). A student in this situation must submit a request, supported by a medical opinion, to both their doctor and the school via the Disability Support Plan. The required documentation should be submitted at registration or at least two working days before the relevant assessment (e.g., exam, defense).
Departmental Houses for Disabled Persons (MDPH)
These are public service locations aimed at welcoming, informing, directing, and supporting disabled persons. The MDPHs issue the "Disability Compensation Benefit" (PCH). This aid is monthly (not annual), personalized (not a flat rate), and accessible to any person recognized as disabled without income conditions.
