Feedback Form

Superintendent Forum 2023-24

My Name is Robert Seaward and I am the Superintendent of Schools for the 2023-24 school year.  I am very excited to be part of Strafford School and hope to help the school, students, staff and community regain its footing after COVID and splitting off to become our own district. I am confident that as my financial team gets the business office and financial affairs fully up to speed, my attention will continue to expand to support our amazing admin, leadership and educator teams on our important journey to help every student find success. I am a firm believer in the concept of, "We can't do it alone" and encourage all families to reach out to the amazing people at our school to gain the support you need.

As a former Navy man, I am a big believer in chain of command, but have tempered that with an understanding that everyone needs to feel heard. With this in mind, I have a feedback form (to the left) available to any parent, guardian, student, employee to reach out directly to me and share your ideas, questions, concerns, and constructive criticism. While the form is anonymous, you are more than welcome to add your name and contact info to your comment and I will be sure to get back to you.

Education Experience:

I have been in public education since 2000, starting as an intern at Noble High School in N. Berwick, Maine. I Taught at Rochester Middle School for a year and a half, then moved over to Spaulding High School where I taught for another four and a half years. I then became an Assistant Principal, Deputy Principal, and finally Principal of Spaulding High School. After 12 years in Rochester, I decided to expand my experiences and became the Principal for Winnisquam Regional Middle School where for five years I collaborated with an amazing team of educators to take the middle school from the bottom 6% of all middle schools in NH to above state average and #1 in 8th grade math in the Lakes Region for my final two years. I then became the Superintendent of Winnisquam Regional School District for the next four years where we battled COVID and declining enrollment, including the closing of a school and realignment of an entire district, all the while working to expand hands on learning, student engagement and career pathways for all students.

Personal Life:

I live in Concord, NH with my wife, Kristin, ten-year old son, Charlie, and 5 year-old daughter, Maya. My goal is to balance work and personal life and to bring the two together as often as I can. My family loves being outdoors including swimming, camping, grilling, hiking, playing in the snow, ice skating and so much more. We have an extensive family spread all over the state, region and country and love reconnecting with them as much as possible.
