Room Parent

Responsibilities

• Communicate with teachers regularly about needs throughout the year for projects, events, and classroom help

• Communicate teacher needs to parents and PTL (be the point of contact)

  • contact parents for PIP opportunities, special events, etc

  • attend PTL meetings and events

  • ensure parents know who you are and how to contact you for communication

• Establish class phone tree

• Grand Auction Item Collection

  • work with the parents in your room to collect themed items for the Grand Auction (first Saturday of November)

    • the PTL will inform you of the theme

• Teacher Birthday Celebration

  • organize a special gift/ treat to celebrate your teacher on their special day

• Teacher Appreciation Week

  • organize and execute special treats/ gifts and lunches throughout the week
