Parent in Participation Hours
Parent in Participation (PIP) Hours
St. Paul’s Lutheran School requires each family to volunteer each trimester to support the success of school activities and events. Parents agree to participate fully in the PIP program by giving of their time and talents through a variety of opportunities.
PreK Families: 6 per Trimester
Young 5 & Half-Day Kindergarten Families: 8 per Trimester
Kindergarten - High School Families: 10 per Trimester
At least 1/3 of the total required PIP hours must be for marketing, fundraising, or volunteer hours that would otherwise require direct payment for a service (example: plumbing work).
Activities
PIP hours may earned through helping with in-school activities, chaperoning off-site field trips, and helping with other student events. The number of PIP hours allocated per event/activity varies.
Fundraising
Fundraising is a vital part of our ability to offer many of the enriching events for our students. As a private school, fundraising is also necessary to support our general budget needs without substantial tuition increases. With this in mind we have a large scale auction fundraiser every year for general and enrichnment budget needs. PTL sponsors other fundraising efforts to support field trips, other enriching school experiences, and to purchase items enhance the lives of our students.
Marketing
Marketing our school to our community is an important part of continued growth of our school. Throughout the year we have a variety or opportunities for parents to assist in school marketing.
Teacher Support
We are so grateful for the time and energy our teachers and staff pour into the students each day. At times teachers may have projects that will help with this success. These may be projects in the classroom or take home projects that involve cutting or organizing.
General School Support
We value volunteers to help us accomplish many tasks throughout the year. These opportunities will be shared in our weekly newsletter and via links on this page.
Room Parent Volunteers
Each year we seek room parents to support individual teachers with classroom parties, events, and needs.
PTL Board Member
Each fall we choose PTL board members to serve through the school year. These members are vital to the success of our work throughout the school year.
Committee Chairperson
Many of our larger events and activities are run by committees. A chairperson is chosen to lead these activities.
