Reward Coupons

Keeping ledgers updated, writing checks, and keeping organized is a tough job. The students in your class will happily play along if they know there is a reward for doing so. Some just like the idea of saving and watching their bank accounts grow, but most will want to spend their money on fun things.

I always kept a box in my classroom called "The Store", which I would open once per week. I had stocked this box with dollar store items, treats, school supplies, and other freebies that I received throughout the year. I added a price tag to each item. Students could purchase on Fridays when we updated our ledgers.

As the years went by, I realized that kids loved something even more than little doo-dads - coupons and gift certificates! Below are some ideas for you to use in your own classroom. Let me know about your own creative ideas as well!

Click on an item to view it. To download, click "File" then "Download As". It can be saved in a variety of formats including Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, which can then be edited.
