“Empowerment. Growth. Global Impact. ”
This is my 21st year in Education. Having taught all ages, I've spent the last eight years as an elementary teacher at international schools in China and Korea. I deeply believe in the transformative power of teachers to shape children's lives profoundly. To achieve this, I prioritize building relationships—teaching the child before the curriculum. Originally from Arkansas, I have been living overseas since 2003. In 2008, I met my wonderful wife here in Korea. We are proud parents to two daughters: Caitlin, a Grade 5 student at SPAS Gwanggyo, and Audrey, who attends Grade 8 at the Bundang campus. I am thrilled to lead and learn alongside the incredible team at SPAS. Together, we aim to inspire a love of learning and a deep respect for diverse perspectives among all our students.
Support the full adoption of standards-based grading by facilitating ongoing professional development and resources for teachers. I aim for a 100% implementation rate across all subjects by the end of the academic year, ensuring consistent application and understanding among faculty and to develop and implement training focused on backward design and ownership of student progress. I want to ensure all students are prepared for the rigor of the next grade level through improved instructional strategies and accountability
