Transdisciplinary Themes
Transdisciplinary learning is a core experience in the IB PYP that involves students studying different subjects under one theme. It's a way for students to explore a relevant concept, issue, or problem by integrating perspectives from multiple disciplines. This helps students connect new knowledge and deeper understanding to real-world experiences.
Approaches to Learning
The Aproproches to Learning (ATL) skills are designed to help students ask relevant questions, set meaningful goals, and use effective strategies to achieve their goals. They are also intended to provide a common language for teachers and students to use when reflecting and building on the learning process.
Key Concepts
Key concepts drive transdisciplinary learning. They are timeless, significant, universal and allow students to engage in higher-order thinking in a meaningful way.
