Summarize, paraphrase, and quote
As you read and take notes, be sure to keep track of any source you read by adding sources to your MyBib project/Google Drive. If you don't use them in your final project, it is easy to leave them off of your final bibliography. It is much harder to go back and find one later!

How do you now when you have enough sources?
Ask yourself:
Do I have enough sources to satisfy the assignment?
Do the sources I have found answer my research question?
Do I have at least one source to support each of my main arguments?
Did I find different types of sources? (i.e., primary and secondary sources)
Did I find sources that support mulitple perspectives on my topic?
If you did not answer yes to each of these questions, you might need to go back and find more sources.
Go back and re-read your thesis statement and your notes before creating your outline. Your outline should include:
topic sentences that support your thesis
evidence from sources to support topic sentences
If you find that you do not have enough information and/or evidence to support your thesis, you need to go back and find more sources.
