Spanish Alphabet: Pronunciation of vowels, consonants, and diphthongs
Numbers
Days of the Week and Months of the Year
Vocabulary associated with: -Introductions and Greetings -The Classroom and School Life -Identifying People: Family Relations, Occupations, and Professions -Hobbies and Sports -Travel and Vacations --Clothing, Shopping, and Colors
Grammar:
a. Verbs: i. Present Tense of Regular Verbs (Ending in ar, er, and ir). ii. Present Tense of Irregular Verb "to be," Spanish has two forms: ser and estar. iii. Present Tense of Stem-Changing Verbs iv. Present Progressive Tense (English Equivalent "ing" verbs)
b. Descriptive and Possessive Adjectives c. Direct and Indirect Objects
Concepts will be introduced gradually.
We will start class by reciting the Our Father together in Spanish, checking for completion of Duolingo lessons (optional), and reviewing homework.
