Free Tutoring by the National Honor Society in the LC

SHS National Honor Society tutoring is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.  in the SHS Learning Commons.  Also, the Stoughon Public Library (SPL) usually  has Monday night homework help. Call the SPL for more information 781-344-2711.

The 2023 winners are....

2023 Winners: You voted in December and results are in for the 2023 best book winners!  And the YA book winners are...drum roll please... Check Mate by Ali Hazelwood for "Best Young Adult Fiction," and Divine Rivals, by Rebecca Ross for "Best Young Adult Fantasy and Science Fiction."  The Wager by David Grann and Holly by Stephen King are also winners. 

L. C. Amenities 

Small Study Room and Large Faculty Meeting Room

Students may sign-up to use the Small Group Study Room ( seats 1-2 people) for academic purposes. Students using the study room must abide by all  L.C. rules including no drinks, food or cell phones. Also, the study room is not sound proof, so please speak at a low volume. Please keep the room tidy and push in the chairs when you leave.  Staff may reserve the Large Meeting Room, which has a large table (seats 1-8 people).

Chromebooks

Students may checkout Chromebooks to use in the learning commons.

Printing

Students have access to  black and white printing stations. 

The Genius Bar

The Stoughton High School Genius Bar is located in the  Learning Commons. Our technology department and student interns do a fantastic job of making sure our technology is performing for our 21st century learners.

New 3-D Printing 

Would you like to learn how to use the 3-D printer? Please email Mrs. Neary or stop by the LC to register for an Introduction to 3-D Printing session.

 


Games

Quiet games and activities  are available for students and staff to enjoy. Enjoy a game of chess, checkers, or Uno. Fun activities include snap circuits, Legos, magnetic building shapes and wood blocks.  Many students find coloring relaxing so if you need a moment to unwind, check out our coloring pages.

Tables and Booths

We have a great area to work independently or with others on projects and assignments. 

Comfortable Seating

Our big comfy chairs are marvelous for relaxing and reading.  We also have many seating groups with ottomans that work well  for collaboration.  

Wonderful print books as well as eBooks and digital audiobooks
