The Stoughton High School community subscribes to the MLS Commonwealth eBook collection, which gives us access to eight other MA l ibrary digital networks. This means you have access to hundreds of thousands of popular, award-winning fiction and nonfiction eBooks and digital audiobooks– no joke. Our eBook collection includes eBooks in multiple languages.

Some of the many eReference books included: the Gale Science Encyclopedia; Gale Medical Encyclopedia; Milestone Documents in American History; Exploring the Primary Sources That Shaped America; American Eras: Primary Sources; Encyclopedia of Cultures and Daily Life; and African American Culture: An Encyclopedia of People, Traditions, and Customs. Also, of SHS LC books that don't use the SORA platform.
BPL offers a free eCard to Massachusetts residence age 14 or above as well as those who work or attend school in MA. The eCard gives holders access to BPL's online resources including Overdrive (eBooks) and Hoopla.
Access over 60,000 free eBooks, many with expired copyrights.
Access tens of thousands of free audiobooks, some in different languages and many from the public domain.
Free children's books available in different languages and at various reading levels.
Google's "Library Project" has been digitizing books across the world and making them searchable. Books with expired copyrights can be downloaded as PDFs. In addition, information for locating books that aren't free is available. This includes information on library availability.
