About Will

Will is a locker-room guy and natural leader, the kind of teammate who helps bring a group together. He takes pride in being someone his teammates can rely on and brings a calm, steady personality to the room. Competitive when it's time to compete and easygoing away from the rink, Will has developed strong relationships with coaches and teammates throughout his career.

Communication and leadership are also important parts of his game. From the crease, Will is constantly reading the play, communicating with his defence and helping organize the group in front of him. He embraces the responsibility that comes with the goaltending position and is comfortable being a voice on the ice.

Family is a major part of Will's life. He also has a close group of longtime friends who are strong students with their own goals and ambitions. Those relationships and the people he surrounds himself with have helped keep him grounded as hockey has become an increasingly significant part of his life.

Will maintains a busy offseason built around gym training and technical on-ice development, but hockey isn't his only interest. He's an avid golfer and spends as much time as possible on the course during the summer.

Growing up in Porters Lake, summers also mean being on the lake, boating, swimming and enjoying water sports. He enjoys downhill skiing in the winter and has always been active in a variety of sports. Will is also a lifelong animal lover, especially dogs and cats, and values downtime with family and friends.
