The importance of physical health is pivotal to me. Over the years I have struggled with certain disorders and mental health to the point where it became vastly concerning. However, I slowly began to improve myself with not only the help of others and professionals, but with going to the gym and taking walks as well. I truly believe that engaging in physical activity saved me and I would not be where I am today without it.
Traveling is an important role in my life. Before my Aunt got sick, she always wanted to travel to different countries but was never fully able to once she was diagnosed. Since then, I have made it a priority to continue what she wished she could have. My oldest brother is also currently a Captain in the US Army so he does not live in places for too long. However, I love to visit him and explore the areas with plenty of historical background and amazing views.
It's no secret I have a love for taking pictures. Yet, it is not only to take pretty pictures; rather, to capture moments that I have a deep or beautiful meaning to them. I photographed my brother's wedding in 2019, where you could see the love and happiness captured in just a single photo. Those are the types of moments that make me fall in love with photography each and every time.
I have been playing Lacrosse since I was only 5 years old. It has always been my favorite form of activity and a great place to form long-lasting bonds with incredibly talented women. Being the youngest of 4 and the only female, I was born to be competitive. The rush of sprinting down a field where no one was able to stop me as I score a goal was a feeling like no other.
I get my artistic abilities from my mother, of course. I always loved to draw, since before I can even remember. For a few years, however, I focused mainly on the core courses I was enrolled in. Thus, unable to find the time to partake in activities I enjoyed. Nevertheless, I enrolled in a Drawing I course at Suffolk CCC where I fell in love with my creativity all over again. The course aided me in realizing how important it is for me to always be involved in artistry.
Before becoming a volunteer, I was a patient for two years. I grew to love the people that assisted in my health and the environment they formed. Due to my passion for helping others, I felt compelled to work alongside the staff! I learned a great deal of information on how to properly take care of my body while also aiding in the health of others.
