Teaching Adjacent Activities
I earned an Online Teaching Certification through a 5-week workshop offered by SBU's Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (Spring 2023).
I have mentored three undergraduates through SBU's Directed Reading Program in Mathematics (Spring 2022 and 2023).
I was a Teaching Assistant for the Summer Workshop in Mathematics at Duke University (Summer 2019) where I mentored high school girls and led a group project on using differential equations and numerical methods to model pollution in the Great Lakes.
While at Harvey Mudd, I was a volunteer teacher and organizer for 5C Science Bus (2015-2018), which aims to get young students, especially from underrepresented groups, excited about science. I taught weekly hands-on STEM lessons for 4th-5th graders local to the Claremont area.
Here is a talk I gave for the SBU Undergraduate Math Club on my favorite theorem and some art that was inspired by it!
