Introduction of Possible Patient Information
This Boxer's Fracture Splint would be specialized by patients
who got injured during WWE
who got injured of boxer's fracture from the fifth metacarpal fracture
who has small hands
who need to a urgent splint
The possible patients' information of size
Palm width: 8.9 cm
Palm thickness: 1.5 cm
Forearm thickness: 2 cm
Length of pinky finger: 5 cm
Circumference of pinky finger: 3.5 cm
Circumference of ring finger: 6.2 cm
(All information can be used by ratio for universal usage)
Design Criteria of Boxer's Fracture Splints
The Boxer's Fracture Splint should support properly on the fifth metacarpal fracture.
The Boxer's Fracture Splint should be easy to put it on and take it off when they need to take medical service.
The Boxer's Fracture Splint should be simple design for universal usage.
Schematic Design of 3D structure
Figure 1: This portrays 3D structure of the Boxer's Fracture Splints as pictorial view.
Figure 2 & 3: These display the 3D structure of the Boxer's Fracture Splints as another perspectives as pictorial view.
Figure 4: This shows 3D structure of the Boxer's Fracture Splint as orthogonal projection view. (The ratio of orthogonal projection and expected model would be 1:4. )
Pre-Printing Time and Information
Figure 5: This explains the pre-printing time and information of printing by utilizing the MakerBot program.
The estimated time of printing would be 2hr 51 min. The filament type would be tough and PVA, while filament temperature would be 170 °C. The print speed estimated 30mm/sec. Finally, infill and support would be 25%.
