Our motivation for this project stems from the urgent need to protect mangrove forests. As one of the planet's most effective ecosystems for carbon sequestration, mangroves are invaluable in fighting climate change. By studying and understanding their carbon storage capabilities, we hope to contribute to global conservation and restoration efforts.
Goals
01
To evaluate the carbon storage capacity of mangrove forests
in comparison to other ecosystems.
02
To investigate the role of ‘blue carbon’ in mangroves and
its significance in climate mitigation efforts.
03
To examine case studies to identify key ecological and
environmental factors that enhance carbon storage in mangroves.
04
To propose actionable strategies and policies
for the conservation and restoration of mangrove ecosystems.
