Climate change is increasingly disrupting ecosystems through rising temperatures, ocean acidification, and marine heatwaves. These changes threaten biodiversity, alter species distribution, and damage marine environments such as coral reefs. By examining these impacts, this project aims to provide a clearer understanding of ecosystem degradation and highlight the need for effective solutions to protect and restore natural systems.
Nowadays, there are a lot of issues in our planet. The most representative issue is Ecosystem. We are trying to reduce using plastics, can or something else. However, the temperature of Earth is steadily rising and there are still trashes in ocean, beach and mountains. These problems are making other new problems and are exacerbating existing problems

The global average surface temperature is an indicator of the state of Earth’s energy balance: how much sunlight it absorbs minus how much heat it radiates back to space. However, Earth’s average surface temperature has been rising because human-produced greenhouse gases are causing Earth to absorb more energy than it radiates back to space.
This change is causing problems in the ecosystem seriously..
In Korea, the most represetative example is tiger which disapeared forever. In the past, there were a lot of tigers all over the Korean Peninsula. Surely, Japan destroyed their habitats and slaughtered. However, modern humans are just like Japan at the time they destroying flora and fauna's habitats in the form of global warming.
Endangered species are classified according to the classification system there are nine in the main. However, no matter how little attention is needed, there is always a need for constant attention to their threats.
Marine heatwaves are caused by abnormal high temperatures of the ocean, for an extended period of time. Scientifically, marine heatwaves are defined when the ocean temperatures are risen above 5 days in the minimum. One of the biggest triggers is climate change and global warming - initiating marine heat waves to be more apparent with greater intensity.
A concurrence of ocean acidity extremes (OAE) and marine heat waves (MHW) causes severe consequences in a marine environment. While OAE-MHWs is a 12 days annual-phenomena currently, it is projected to rise up to 256 days per year in the near future. If such extremes are consistent, coral bleaching will occur along with reef degradation. Eliminating such extremities requires a prevention within a growing prevalence of ocean acidification and marine heat waves. Marine heatwaves are projected to be a continuous growing phenomenon especially from the mid 2000s.
Gut Micro biomes Of Reef Fish Species
According to a scientific literature review, marine heatwaves ultimately homogenize microbial diversity and violate a dominant taxa in the gut micro biome of a reef fish. There was a change of gut micro biomes of A. vaigiensis - 43% had a lower gut micro biome evenness in warm and extreme reefs. M. strigatus species exhibited an approximate 99% increase at warm reef compared to cool reef. Therefore, the studies have concluded that species are more prone and more dominated to harmful bacteria caused by acidification and warming.
