Educational + Outreach Initiatives

Taught the students and families of Mastic Beach (youngest being kindergarten) about the intersection of biomedical engineering and art, facilitating an activity with origami and 3D pens that challenged students to design a medical device.

Teaching high school and middle school students about careers in assistive technology, leading an activity where students used 3D printing concepts to build devices that addressed different issues. 

Exposed students and families to biomedical engineering, informing them of the impact that biomedical engineers make on society. Presented medical devices and informed the community on how BME continually seeks to improve this technology.
